Yesterday we celebrated 1 year of the most incredible love . . . a year filled with laughter, connection, tenderness, intimacy, and the excitement for so many sweet moments that are yet to be had.
How can I possibly express to you my love what is bursting from the depths of my being? . . . words are horribly inadequate to even begin to describe how you have awoken my soul . . . You have shaken my sense of reality and love, and given me an energy for life that is explosive . . .
Pablo Neruda, one of my favorite poets, does a good job describing how I feel . . .
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
— Pablo Neruda (100 Love Sonnets: Cien sonetos de amor)
and you found each other…I am thrilled for you both! With love,
Lara
Dear Michael and April
I just finished reading through your blog… it was just so moving to read and to look at. The trip sounds wonderful, your descriptions of it all are so alive, and you are truly excellent photographers! I never realized just how beautiful my country is…
And now you are celebrating a year of being together. May this feeling of being blessed as a couple always cling to you, may you never tire of expressing and celebrating it. May you have many more discoveries, travels and good food together, and know much love in the years to come.
Nurit, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the incredibly sweet words you said about April and I. Having such wonderful people in our lives to share these moments with makes our love even more meaningful.
We can’t help but smile when we see the love and beauty that surrounds your family 🙂
